Flow Form Process

I was prompted to design and craft a pair of symmetrical flow form salad tongs. I began by researching flow forms and sketching fair curves for orthographic views. I then moved to creating foam models and making adjustments, culminating in making the final tongs from two blocks of wood. 

Through the process, I learned to better understand form, ergonomics, technical drawing, and balance of functionality and aesthetics.
